Overview:

Discover how the lives of prehistoric people changed through time in this journey from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. Handle genuine and replica objects from that time, learning how they were made and used. Take on the role of an archaeologist and use your skills to identify the significance of the objects you find.

This half day workshop can be extended for a full day to include rope making, prehistoric art using natural pigments and an activity in our museum galleries.

A half day session is 2 hours and includes an archaeology activity followed by a rotation of workshops to cover the 3 prehistory periods; Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. A full day also includes rope making, prehistoric art using natural pigments and an activity in our museum galleries.
