We are recruiting a Project Marketing Assistant

Ely Museum is an independent museum that tells the story of the landscape of the local area and the lives of people who have lived there. We have full Arts Council Accreditation and have recently undergone a redevelopment, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The Role
We are looking for an excellent communicator with experience of marketing, to join our small and dedicated team. You will assist with marketing and brand building at Ely Museum, inspired by the collections, as part of the NLHF funded project, ‘Resilience through our collections’.
This role is a great chance to join the team at a thriving museum and will suit a creative person who has experience of marketing. There is great scope for the right candidate to learn and develop within this role.
About You
With an interest in heritage and museums, you’ll be an excellent communicator who enjoys brand building and marketing. A great team player, with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Please note, only the essential criteria of the person specification need to be met for application.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (days negotiable) to include occasional evening and weekend working.
Contract: Fixed term until December 2025.
Salary: £23,400 pa pro rata (Actual pay £14,040 per year).

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, with experience of planning and delivering events, to join our small and dedicated team. You will work to improve the earned income and public engagement at Ely Museum, through the delivery of events and activities as part of the NLHF funded project, ‘Resilience through our collections’.
This role is a great chance to join the team at a thriving museum and will suit a creative person who is inspired by museum collections and understands the needs of different audiences. There is great scope for the right candidate to learn and develop within this role.
About You
With an interest in heritage and museums, you’ll be an excellent communicator who enjoys developing and delivering events. A great team player, with willingness to learn who enjoys working with volunteers and with different audiences.
Please note, only the essential criteria of the person specification need to be met for application.
Hours: 21 hours per week. Two days 9am – 5pm as well as Sundays 11.30am – 5.15pm. May include occasional additional weekend and evening working.
Contract: Fixed term until December 2025.
Salary: £23,400 pa pro rata (Actual pay £13,104 per year).
