Dig it! Archaeology Discovery Day

Love Time Team and Digging for Britain? Or perhaps have a budding archaeologist in your family?  If so, join us at the museum for an archaeology themed day.

Supported by Oxford Archaeology, discover how archaeologists dig up the past, record what they find, piece together the clues and discover the story in their hunt for history.

You can meet the archaeologists and try out a range of hands-on activities for all ages. Have a go at excavating, try Saxon inspired crafts and dress up as an archaeologist.  There will also be local archaeological finds to take a closer look at and discover the stories behind them.

For Scouts and Brownies wanting to do their archaeology badges, the Cambridgeshire Scouts Archaeology Squad will be here to support the event.
