An Evening at the Museum: Craft Beer Edition
Friday 27 March, 7-9pm
Tickets £20*
Join us for an Evening at the Museum for a chance to explore our galleries and brewing exhibition after dark, try some new beers and chat with the brewers who make them.
An Evening at the Museum: Craft Beer Edition will bring three Cambridgeshire breweries to Ely Museum to serve their local beers and talk about their methods. Sip your beer while you explore the museum after hours and listen to some live folk music.
We are delighted that the evening will include:
Burwell Brewery:
Ricky Dolphin and Paul Belton established Burwell Brewery in 2019 in a purpose-built timber brewery at the bottom of Ricky’s garden. The plant upgraded to 2.5 barrels during COVID to meet demand and together with 5 conditioning tanks and a recently added 500-litre uni-tank produces beer in cask, bottle and bag-in-box.
Papworth Brewery:
Brewing began in 2014 in Papworth Everard. The brewery moved to new premises in Earith in 2017 and acquired an 11-barrel plant, significantly increasing its production. A brewery tap and bottle shop, the Crystal Ship, opened in 2020 and can be found at Unit 32, Earith Business Park.
Pastore Brewing and Blending:
Founded in 2019, Pastore Brewing & Blending specialise in mixed-fermentation sour and wild ales. Pastore (Pas-tor-ray) is Italian for shepherd, in honour of the brewer’s Italian family. It ties rustic, wild brewing with a modern, semi-urban setting, making new-age fresh, fruited Weisses, as well as barrel-aged old saisons.
All breweries will also be providing bottled beer for purchase to take home.
Playing music for the evening will be Andy Wall, a well-respected singer, guitarist and performer active on the UK folk scene for more than four decades. Andy will be entertaining us with his guitar and Appalachian dulcimer!
Join us for a unique local experience and a chance to unwind.
Over 18s only (ID may be required).
*Tickets £20, including 4 half pints of local beers. Soft-drink-only tickets available at £15.
