DESCRIPTION:Epic Tales Creative Writing Workshop with Chip Colquhoun\n\nGive your young writers the gift of inspiration this summer by letting them spend time with local storyteller and author Chip Colquhoun. With the help of heroes from Cambridgeshire folklore\, they’ll discover the essential ingredients of great stories\, and leave confident in their ability to create and tell.\n\nChip is the author of Cambridgeshire Folk Tales for Children as well as the Fables & Fairy Tales series illustrated by Korky Paul. He’s an Oxford Owl storyteller who has entertained audiences from Hong Kong to Glastonbury Festival\, as well as our very own Ely Museum\, Cathedral\, and Library. He also represented the Roald Dahl Museum for ITV.\n\nThis two hour creative writing workshop is suitable for children aged 8-12 years. Parents/guardians are not required to stay in the room\, but are asked to remain on site\, or in this general area. We are having a special summer opening just for children with sensory sensitivities along with their families. \nAll of the exhibits and activities will be available as usual\, however the sounds are reduced\, muted or subtitled throughout the building. There is also a quiet room with chairs\, a sensory tent to relax in and some sensory toys. \nDrop-in anytime between 10:30am-1pm \nTickets are £6.50 for adults\, £2.50 for children\, £15 for a family ticket and under 5s are free. The tickets can be converted to an annual pass to the museum for free on the day. \n \n  \n
