We are looking to appoint a Treasurer to join Ely Museum at an exciting time. We will look
to you to maintain oversight of finances and contribute to the strategic direction of the
Museum, therefore a passion for protecting the assets of our award-winning Accredited
Museum, as well as ensuring a sustainable position, is key to this role.

Individuals with experience in accounting or charity finance are particularly welcome,
however we would love to hear from anyone who feels that their skills and background
would be suited to this role.

We will look to you to ensure that Ely Museum fulfils its duties and responsibilities for
financial governance as set down by the Charity Commission and within the Museum’s
constitution. You will work with both staff and Trustees to achieve this.

Ely Museum is an independent museum that tells the story of the landscape of the local
area and the lives of people who have lived there. We are delighted to have been
supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and have recently undergone a £2.2m
redevelopment of the exhibitions and building.

This is an exciting time for you to join us and you will want to help us achieve our
ambitions and support our direction of travel.

Senior Project Officer (Maternity Leave Cover)

We are looking for a creative and organised individual, with strong leadership skills, to join our small and dedicated team. You will lead the delivery of the new NLHF funded project, ‘Resilience through our collections’ focusing on temporary exhibitions, collections, marketing, events and audience development.

This role is a great chance to join the team at a thriving museum and will suit a person who enjoys working with collections and driving more visitors to the museum. There is great scope for the right candidate to learn and develop within this role, depending on their own interests and skills.

We are looking for an excellent communicator with experience of marketing and events , to join our small and dedicated team. You will work to improve the earned income and public engagement at Ely Museum, inspired by the collections, through the completion of the marketing and events actions in the new NLHF funded project, ‘Resilience through our collections’.

With a strong interest in heritage and museums, you’ll be an excellent communicator who enjoys developing and delivering events, working with volunteers and marketing. A great team player, with experience of audience development in heritage or the arts.

Collections Projects Officer

We are looking for an organised individual, with experience of working with museum collections, to join our small and dedicated team. You will work to rationalise the collections of Ely Museum and improve their care, storage, documentation and accessibility, through the completion of the collection actions in the new NLHF funded project, ‘Resilience through our collections’.

With a strong interest in museum collections, you’ll have great attention to detail and enjoy supporting exhibition development and working with volunteers. A great team player with experience of working with museum collections and databases.
