Ely Museum offers range of professional, curriculum-based workshops suitable for a variety of ages. Please see our workshops page for more details about what we offer.

Some museum visits are available as a half day, and others are a full day.  Our sessions can be tailored to your classes needs, and you may wish to combine two separate half day topics to make a full.  Half day workshops are available as morning or afternoon sessions, and we may be able to adjust start/finish times to fit in with your travelling arrangements.  We are always happy to discuss your individual requirements, please use the contact link below

Risk Assessment and Pre Visits

A basic risk assessment and our safeguarding policy are available to download to the right. However if there are any concerns, we recommend that teachers arrange a pre visit. These are free of charge.

Pre Visits

We welcome teachers who wish to visit in advance. These visits are free. Pre visits can be conducted during opening times (Tues – Sat 10:30am – 5:00pm, & Sun 12:00pm – 5:00pm).  Please email our Learning Officer learning@elymuseum.org.uk with the date you wish to visit. With enough notice it may be possible to meet other relevant members of staff on pre visits.

Shop

Our museum shop stocks an exciting range of products ranging from educational local history books to children’s toys. We have carefully selected all products to highlight our collection and link to some of our workshops, including a variety of small, inexpensive items which can act as reminders of a school visit. All sales from the shop go directly to supporting the museum.

Ask the Learning Officer about incorporating the gift shop into your visit. We also offer pre-made gift bags at a range of prices.
