Job Vacancy at Ely Museum
£22,000 – 23,500 per annum (pro rata for part time) dependent on experience
Ely Museum is an independent museum that tells the story of the landscape of the local area and the lives people who have lived there. With full Arts Council Accreditation the museum has a well-established service for schools and offers a range of learning workshops and resources.
Following a £2.2 million redevelopment, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are now looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Learning Officer to drive the museum forward. With an understanding of National Curriculum requirements, the successful candidate will be an experienced educator and excellent communicator with knowledge of the heritage sector.
We will look to you to help us shape the future of learning and engagement by developing and delivering an exciting and wide-ranging education programme. You will be self-motivated with the ability to work upon your own initiative as well as part of a team. With a talent for working with volunteers you will lead on enhancing and supporting the education service and continue to build and maintain good relationships within local networks.

The post is for 22.5 hours (0.6 FTE) and will include occasional weekend and evening working.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful applicant.
